Todd Grimm Achieves Master Level in Rapid Prototyping
Dearborn, Mich., May 13, 2004 -- T. A. Grimm & Associates, Inc., a provider of rapid prototyping consulting services, announced that its president, Todd Grimm, received the Master Level Certificate for rapid prototyping. This certificate, the highest bestowed by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), was awarded to Grimm during the plenary session of the Rapid Prototyping & Manufacturing 2004 conference.
Grimm and nine others are the first to receive the Master Level certificate. According to SME, Grimm received the highest score of those who were tested for the Master Level. "I am glad that I have 15 years of experience in rapid prototyping and a broad range of technologies under my belt. Without this background, Master Level would have been very difficult to achieve," stated Grimm.
SME offers three certificates in rapid prototyping: associate, professional and master. The Masters Certificate is awarded to those that demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of rapid prototyping systems, processes, controls, practices and operations. The RP Master is expected to demonstrate a breadth of experience in technologies for 3D printing, prototyping, direct metal fabrication, rapid tooling and direct digital manufacturing.
